St. Simons Island | | Mini Vacay

We left last week to head to Georgia. It was mainly for my little brother's (baby brother's) graduation and engagement party. Say WHAT!? That little snot nosed kid that taught me a lot about taking care of kids. He was my life like baby doll and my very first side kick.

Now he is a college graduate - on the start to get his Masters - and he is getting married next year. That doesn't seem like it's possible.

Anyway - we headed down to Georgia for quite the journey but we were able to have a little bit of fun in our journey, too. Beach, park, seafood, parties, fun!

These sweet girls were ready to go watch their Uncle Cory graduate
Saturday, we had his graduation which we showed up just in time to see him cross the stage and then headed to the island. My brother, his wife, and I were good like that. And we had 4 kids in tow. We probably had the best seats in the house, too. We were able to wave right at him and catch the trolley back to our car. All within about 30-45 minutes! WHOHOO!

After graduation, we checked into our Beach house on St. Simons Island, GA! It was gorgeous there! I hope we are able to go back and spend more time next year when Aubrey and Cory get married. We really enjoyed the quietness and beauty of St. Simons! The girls just loved the beach!

Saturday evening was their engagement party at this little bar at St. Simons that Aubrey's family hosted. It was really a graduation and engagement party. We enjoyed our time there and meeting all of Aubrey's family. The girls danced the night away. They didn't stop I don't think until we told them it was time to head back to the house.

They had a little Photo Booth set up there with props that the girls had a blast in. They loved dressing up and holding up the props.

These three girls are so excited to have Aubrey as an aunt! She loves Disney as much as they do. Frozen is the soundtrack of her life and these girls know it! If you couldn't find the girls at the engagement party, look for Aubrey and they were normally close by!

I'm proud of those kids, especially my little brother. If you've ever met him, you know he is the nicest kid (yes, he's still a kid to me) that you'll ever meet. He is the most respectful you will even come in contact with. He works hard and has a drive like no other. If he sets his mind to something, he will do it! He will be great at anything he sets his mind to. I am one proud sister of that little boy!

He even drove all the way home as soon as he heard Emery wasn't going to make it. And he was the first person Jordan and I both thought of when they asked us if we wanted a pallbearer! Cory carried our sweet Emery to her final resting place and as he hugged me with tears in his eyes he told me "Sis, I finally got to hold her!" Bless that boy! He stole my heart a long time ago and I love my pain in the butt baby brother so much!

Makenzi celebrated a birthday while we were gone and we made sure she wasn't forgotten. We had the whole trolly bus sing Happy Birthday to her on  the way back to our car and while we were eating lunch at Perkins with Grandma and Grandaddy we had them sing and bring her an ice cream sundae. She won't ever forget this 8th birthday!

Sunday we spent the whole day at the beach and by the pool. We all enjoyed the only relaxing day we got the whole trip. We enjoyed it so much. After our pool time was up, we headed to eat at Catch 228 for some seafood. Everyone ate until we could barely move!

Addison and Bella didn't love the outdoors and luckily Grandma and Grandaddy and Aunt Susan stayed inside all day, so they were able to just hang out with them. I came in and they were playing a game at the table by themselves - absolutely precious and priceless!

Cory took us around St. Simons to show us some local spots. We took some pictures at this park with oak trees that you could climb and swing from. It was awesome! We got some great shots of the girls and me. We even included Baby Emery! That bear will see everything we see... it's the only thing we have of Baby Emery, so she will go with us just like she would if she was here with us!
