I'm Gonna Miss You | | Jordan

If you follow me on Facebook, you saw this video right after Emery passed. It is so special to us, and pretty personal. Some of these pictures will show you how sick Emery was & she looks pitiful, but in others it will show you her beauty. She was such a beautiful baby girl.

But the main reason for sharing this video was I wanted you to hear the first song on it, I'm Gonna Miss You. It is written by her Daddy for his girls. I don't have another way to share it on my blog yet. (We need to get this song on iTunes and Amazon) But, listen to it. It is my favorite song Jordan has ever written.

He wrote this song before we even got pregnant with Emery. We got pregnant with her in August and he wrote this in May.

But I woke up to take Makenzi to school one morning and he said "I want you to listen to this song I wrote before you take Makenzi."

He started it and I could feel the tears coming in my eyes. The next thing I know I am grabbing the first thing I can (a roll of paper towels) to wipe my tears away. I was crying my eyes out.

Makenzi didn't understand why I was crying because she told us she was never going to leave us. She would always live with us and even if she didn't, she was going to be right next door to us. :-) Oh I can only hope, baby girl!

The girls still love to listen to this song. They can sing every word with him.

I can't thank the funeral home enough for putting this song on her tribute video.

Since you guys all seem to like my post about Jordan than any one I had put up (it has over 500 views), I thought you might like to hear some of his music.

He has other songs that he's written that are good & you can always find him downtown (well, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at HonkyTonk Central and Friday and Saturday at Rippy's) playing some of your favorites or his favorites. If I am there, don't come ask me what his favorite song to sing is... I honestly do NOT know & yes, I'm his wife but we have other things to talk about than the songs he sings every day. ;-)

Today was a stormy day here in Nashville...

But you know what, Emery Hope showed up. We went out to eat for supper and as we were walking out we saw her. The girls went running towards the sunshine and said "Look!!! It's Baby Emery!" To see the sunshine rays/sunset/sunrise bring my girls the comfort makes me smile.

Makenzi said she's seeing streets of gold. That's so awesome. But what we're seeing is beautiful, too, she said. Oh sweet girl, I can't wait for us to all see heaven.

After dinner - it was off to Target because the girls had money burning holes in their pockets. They walked right in Target and got what they wanted. I haven't really seen them since their baths. They are in their room playing Barbies.

And here's a sweet video Jordan took of Addison the other day when we were playing outside. This was the day she was "healed." ENJOY! She only slid down the big slide about 100 times and every single time she would make sure her Daddy was watching her & screamed like she was riding a roller coaster. Oh that sweet girl can melt our hearts!

Always be present in your kids lives, they are only loaned to us. God will want them back one day.

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
